Around 1000 BCE, the area of Mehrauli was known as Yoginipura and the hillock was known as Vishnupada Giri.
~1000 BCE - According to Firishta, the stronghold of Jammu stayed under the ownership of Ghakkars from the hour of King Durg to the Mughal time frame. The Kaid Raja (Huvishka's replacement) delegated Jai Chand as his lead representative in Delhi. Raja Dilhu, the more youthful sibling of Jai Chand (1040-1030 BCE) controlled over Delhi for a very long time around 1030-990 BCE. Lord Puru Sen of Madra country slaughtered Raja Dilhu and added the locale of Delhi.

~290 BCE (Karttikadi Vikrama Era - 429 ): Anangpal I, a relative of Arjun-Abhmanyu-Parilshit genealogy and Tomara administration, established his realm in Yoginipura in 290 BCE and furthermore fabricated a city named Anangpur in 290 BCE and ruled over Indraprastha. (Abul Fazal)
~ 76 AD: Anangpal II reconstructed the city of Yoginipura and named it as Dillika in 76 AD. (Conventional proof of Samvat 793 and a reference by Amir Khusro).
