Finding a Hellenistic sculpture from a bouleuterion in Aigai Ancient City. TURKEY
A bouleuterion (Greek: βουλευτήριον, bouleutērion), additionally interpreted as committee house, gathering house, and senate house, was a structure in old Greece which housed the board of residents (βουλή, boulē) of a majority rule city state. These delegates gathered at the bouleuterion to discuss and choose public issues. There are a few surviving bouleuteria around Greece and its previous settlements. It ought not be mistaken for the Prytaneion, which housed the chief committee of the gathering and frequently filled in as the boule's wreck corridor.
